ORANGE, CA, (February 1, 2024) – In a major move to combat homelessness, Supervisor Doug Chaffee of Orange County’s Fourth District, together with Friendly Center President/CEO, Dr. Kenia Cueto, has today unveiled the transformative Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). This collaborative venture is a preventative measure to stop the cycle of homelessness and provide crucial relief to families on the brink of losing their housing, offering up to three months of rental support along with a comprehensive case management plan through the expert guidance of Friendly Center.

Recognized for their exemplary service, Friendly Center was handpicked to spearhead ERAP, highlighting their two decades of dedication in pairing rental assistance with critical case management across Orange County. The program’s progress will be meticulously monitored, with participant check-ins at three, six, and twelve months, ensuring impactful, lasting benefits.
